Beeswax pillar candles such as these need thicker wicks to create enough heat to melt the beeswax and therefore creates a higher flame, which is completely normal for beeswax.

Never leave a burning candle unattended and keep lit candles away from open doors or windows and away from children and pets

Always place lit candles onto a heat proof base and away from curtains or loose clothing.

Keep wicks trimmed to approximately 5mm or around every 4 hours while in use.
